Meet Grant

Grant is the founder of Dorhout Retirement Services and is committed to helping retirees of Omaha and surrounding cities thrive in retirement. He’s been helping retirees and pre-retirees retire with confidence since 2005. His Discover How To Thrive In Retirement process puts a focus on making sure his clients have a plan that works in all circumstances, not just ideal ones. That is why Grant is so passionate about teaching those in his community about the importance of retirement planning. As an instructor of several local retirement courses, Grant shares his knowledge with others with the hopes that they’ll plan their financial future with clarity and confidence.

Even with his extensive experience, Grant considers himself a lifetime learner. He strives to continuously educate himself on the tools and resources that could potentially create a positive impact for his clients. By constantly seeking out cutting edge solutions, Grant can provide his clients with a variety of financial options resulting in a personalized retirement plan.

Family is extremely important to Grant. With a large family himself, he and his wife, Erika, and their three wonderful children, Evan, Hunter and Haley, are heavily involved in their Omaha community. Residing in Platteview, they love spending time outdoors and creating new memories together.

Grant is the co-author of a best-selling book titled “Modern Retirement Strategies: A Definitive Guide to Retiring Well.”
